Next Generation, Please! Festival

“Apparition” is a workshop that focuses on the issue of visibility by questioning the constant invisibility of (foreign?) bodies. The main focus will be black women. Today the 3rd or even 4th generation of immigrants that live in Belgium continue to question their place in society. When do you become a citizen of a country in your own right? When should you stop caring about your foreign/extra-national connections? Apparition is an appeal, by way of the artistic productions of a group of young black women, to pinpoint the place they occupy or the to which one they have been relegated in Belgium and Europe today.
