‘Are You Series? - Industry Day’

This year, Are You Series? returns in a different format set in one day. On 9 December, there will be a professional encounter between young creators and producers of series in the afternoon, in collaboration with play.cluster, RTBF, Creative Europe Desk Vlaanderen and Desk Europe Créative Wallonie-Bruxelles.
​​​​​​​​​​​In the evening, we welcome the very first series co-produced by VRT and RTBF: 1985 by Wouter Bouvijn.

Our speakers of the day:
​​​​​​​For the past 12 years, screenwriter Jenny Lund Madsen has written numerous episodes of various Danish series, both as a head writer and episode writer. Her credits include shows such as Follow the Money (Bedrag), Rita, Mercur and Sjit Happens. Jenny has studied screenwriting at the University of California Los Angeles and holds a master’s degree in film studies from the University of Copenhagen.

Willem Wallyn is a Belgian writer, director and actor, known for All of Us (2019), Dear (1997) and Film 1 (1999). He previously wrote the TV series De 16 which deals with a similar theme as 1985, his new series.

Marie Enthoven works mainly on the original creation of her own series such as Exit and Bravoure, but also on Invisible, a TV series for RTBF, for which she is the scriptwriter, art director and associate producer. Marie also writes for series such as E-Légal, Unité 42 or 1985.
