Brahms: Sextets

Some families are not only bound by blood. Tabea Zimmermann, Jean-Guihen Queyras, Isabelle Faust, Alexander Melnikov and the Belcea Quartet regularly meet on stage to share moments of joy. For this concert, the quartet will add a viola and a cello to their musical range, to bring Brahms’s sublime String Sextets to life. They naturally chose their musician friends Tabea and Jean-Guihen. Like a quiet family reunion, the chamber music recital will bring the exceptional musicians together around two musical scores etched with deep and brilliant colours.
