Belgian National Orchestra & Cristina Branco

One of the leading voices of contemporary fado, Cristina Branco has developed a distinctive style that brings Portuguese tradition into dialogue with influences from jazz, chanson and contemporary music. Over three decades, she has created a unique and deeply expressive musical world while playing a key role in the renewal of fado.

To mark this milestone, she presents a unique concert that brings the melancholy of fado together with the expressive possibilities of the classical symphony orchestra, premiering at the Klarafestival. Accompanied by the Belgian National Orchestra, she revisits iconic pieces from her repertoire in new arrangements by renowned songwriters and composers, including António Lobo Antunes and Filipe Raposo.
