On the road with Bach
Cellist Benjamin Glorieux plays all six Bach cello suites in one day. From playful to poetic, each suite has its own character, inspiring video artists Klaas Verpoest and Johan van Mol to create fresh visual presentations. The audience experiences a fascinating journey between sounds and images, old and new. But On the road with Bach is more than a musical marathon. It is also the outcome of a week-long journey from Arnstadt to Lübeck. With his cello on his back, Glorieux followed the same route that Bach took 300 years ago, in order to hear his great hero Buxtehude play.
