Stravinsky’s Chamber Music
In this programme, the musicians of the BNO take you on a journey across several decades of creation, revealing a many-sided Stravinsky: constantly surprising, deeply innovative, and ever-evolving. Discover the remarkable sound palette he creates even with small ensembles, through instrumentations that are as inventive as they are unexpected.
Following an opening for solo clarinet, a variety of ensembles — from duo to septet, octet, and twelve-player formations — bring a wealth of colours and contrasts to life. The programme blends lyricism with rhythmic precision, bold modernity with neoclassical clarity, and poetic expression with a playful spirit.
