Turning up the heat in our film theatre

Just as the first guests begin to arrive, a surprise visit from the Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority puts the staff of demanding chef Andy Jones' popular restaurant on edge. In a strict yet fair manner, Andy tries to guide his staff through the chaotic evening with difficult customers, while everything he has worked for all his life is at stake. The high tension is brilliantly captured in one, continuous take.

After working as an actor for 20 years (Band Of Brothers, Chernobyl), Philip Barantini made the switch to directing in the late 2010s, with his first, award-winning short film Seconds Out. Boiling Point was in competition at the Karlovy Vary and the BFI London Film Festival in 2021.
