The new Bozar Bassment concert series pushes the boundaries of electronic and experimental music. Unusual international and local artists team up to shake the foundations of the Centre for Fine Arts. Below street-level, they present brand-new material in genre-defying live performances with visuals.
offcircuit combines elements of break, rave, indie, and punk. Their music is brutalist, melancholic, and uncompromising, driven by electronic drums and industrial textures. The raw vocals of Fahad Seriki (formerly known as Dutch Norris), together with the equally cutting keyboards of Aram Abgaryan (known for KRANKk), provide the perfect foundation for a scintillating live performance.
Jokkoo Collective is a sound and music collective based in Barcelona, establishing hybrid Black electronic music and diasporic narratives within the global music community. Their electro-acoustic performance, Organic Intelligence (0.I.), speculates on futures where natural systems like the mangrove could become the planet’s last form of shield, resisting collapse and restoring balance. Through dialogue between the human and non-human, analog and digital, utilising a mix of acoustic instruments, DJ mixing, field recordings, live coding, and synthesis, they build an evolving soundscape interlaced with vocals in Spanish, Wolof, and Catalan.
