
Yekwon Sunwoo: Steinway Prizewinner Van Cliburn International Piano Competition
Yekwon Sunwoo, a 28-year-old Korean pianist, studied at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia and at the Juilliard School and the Mannes School of Music in New York. Winner of numerous prizes, he has performed on major international stages, including Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall and Radio House. Gold medallist at the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, he will be playing a variety of works, including Ravel's famous Valse, illustrating the different facets of his talent and displaying his "total mastery of the instrument and its expressivity".
