Branford Marsalis is the grandmaster of the saxophone (and Wynton’s brother). He has performed with Sting and Miles Davis, he founded the band Buckshot Le Fonque and was the band leader on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. In the past few years he has focused on more classical work, performing with several of the world’s leading orchestras (New York, Chicago, Tokyo, etc). In 2014 the saxophonist recorded a solo album in San Francisco’s Grace Cathedral. He performs this repertoire again, which consists of a mix of classical arrangements, standards and free improvisation in the unique setting of Cathedral of St. Michael and St. Gudula.
