Cantania closing concert
Attend the festive closing concert of the Cantania international music project at the Centre for Fine Arts for free!
On Sunday 15 May, hundreds of Brussels students and teachers will perform Between Two Worlds, a musical work written by composer Xavier Pagès i Corella and adapted by Belgian authors Elvis Peeters and Vital Schraenen.
The Mediterranean plays a central role in this new cantata. Once the cradle of so many cultures, it is now the invisible border between two continents: Africa and Europe. A boy and his father venture out onto this sea, driven by the call for a better life. The immense sea, source of life and wonder, imagination and myth, adventure and danger, hope and solidarity, becomes the vehicle for a story about migration in 2022 through the eyes of a child.
The stars of the day will be the children and their teachers, who have been working on this concert for an entire year. Come and support them at Bozar.
