Carminho

Carminho is a phenomenal Portuguese singer and the star of a new generation of fadistas. As a solo artist and songwriter, she has succeeded in breathing new life into the fado tradition and finding listeners far beyond the stages of her homeland. Through collaborations with Brazilian artists such as Marisa Monte and Caetano Veloso, she played sold-out concerts in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, while after a duet with Pedro Alborán, Carminho became the first Portuguese artist ever to reach number one in Spain. Her recent collab with Rosalía only strengthens her popularity. With her latest album Eu vou Morrer de Amor ou Resistir, Carminho continues her artistic quest unabated, exploring different forms of fado and leaving room for experimentation and intimacy, including a guest contribution from Laurie Anderson!
