"The Case of the Sea Dog" takes students on a musical and visual journey of discovery through an imaginary Brussels. Through the eyes of children, we rediscover the city in a playful way, through stories, cultures, and sounds. Music, images, poetry, and storytelling, inspired by Brussels legends such as La Rue du Chien Marin, bring to life a magical world where imagination and reality blend together. According to an old Brussels legend, a seal was discovered on this street during construction work in the 16th century—a mysterious find that sparked the city’s imagination.
Students will have the opportunity to:
- discover the video mallet, a tool for live audio and video production
- relive the history of Brussels through music and images
- invent an imaginary Brussels through a contemporary story
- share a moving musical experience together
