‘Climate Talk: COP-27: How do we keep our heads above water?’

24 Nov.'22
- 19:00

COP27, the 27th United Nations Climate Change Conference, will take place in Egypt from 6 to 17 November. Climate disasters will be the focus of the discussions between the 196 nations represented. More than ever, they will have to commit to drastically reducing greenhouse gas emissions with the hope of limiting global warming, and to putting in place and financing adaptation strategies for living as well as possible with the expected climate changes.

We will review COP27, while diving deep into the questions of the relationship to water and compensation for climate victims, with Anna Paeshuyse (UN youth representative Sustainable Development, Flemish Youth Council), Jean-Pascal van Ypersele (Climatologist, UCLouvain), Aissatou Diouf  (CAN West Africa) (online) and Zakia Khattabi (Federal Minister for Climate), moderated by Paul Germain (journalist and editor-in-chief TV5 Monde).
