‘Constantinople & Ablaye Cissoko’

To make the journey its foundation, whether it be geographical, historical, cultural or intimate. That’s what’s at the core of the Constantinople ensemble’s approach. Since 1998, the ensemble is proudly working with leading artists on the international scene, releasing eighteen albums and producing almost fifty projects. For this concert at Bozar, the Iranian setâr master Kiya Tabassian has invited the Senegalese griot and korist Ablaye Cissoko. The complicity between the strings and voices of these exceptional artists has already charmed audiences at more than a hundred festivals and venues around the world.
