Dariush Talai, the iconic tar and setar player, opens up the doors of Persian traditional music to us. With his enchanting concerts, his creative and expressive interpretations, he shares and brings alive like few others the rich musical and textual heritage of this art form. Dariush Talai is an internationally-acclaimed music educator, teacher and author, and an authority on the Radif of Iranian music, the traditional repertoire of Persian classical music, which UNESCO has included on its list of intangible heritage and which defines Talai’s aesthetic approach. Talai will perform with three of his best students at BOZAR and together they will create a special musical ambience, which was specifically conceived for our concert hall, filling it with crystalline sound.
