dBridge & Madison Willing (live) – Niels Orens (live A/V)

Niels Orens is a Belgian producer and visual artist. The Sound Track winner (2022) has built up an outstanding reputation in recent years and worked with the British electronic artist Max Cooper. On his debut album, slow night/s, Orens explores electronics above the acoustic textures of his cello. His intelligent take on electronic music is characterised by rhythmic patterns influenced by breakbeat, spatial sound design and deep basses.

As it turns out, the 2022 EP Made in Silence wasn’t a one-off collab between dBridge and Madison Willing after all. A new album combining neo-classical and dance is waiting in the wings, taking the form of a live A/V show. In the early nineties, the British producer and DJ dBridge was a pioneer of drum and bass as a member of Future Forces Inc. and Bad Company. Since 2005, he has released solo work on his own label, Exit Records. The same label is home to the composer and pianist Madison Willing, although she enters through a different door. She has written for films and TV series such as The Crown, earning praise for her atmospheric scores with a strong emotional resonance. The pair find common ground in thrilling music that combines excerpts from Willing’s diary with dBridge’s iconic beats.
