De caballos y guitarras is a musical, a reflection on seeing, on trying to escape an anthropocentric gaze, and also on seeing in cinema itself. Basically, it is a film about horses, about a guitar concert for horses that took place in Bramante's Tempietto in Rome, a true emblem of the ideas of windows, perspective and reason, which determine a way of seeing that has become hegemonic.

Four interludes and three trailers. This is how Lo que va por debajo, Pedro G. Romero's latest project, is being promoted. It will be a film and a thirteen-episode series about Barcelona and flamenco in the Nou Barris neighbourhood. At its core, it aims to explore the intangible underground elements — from madness to sexual dissidence, from childhood to subaltern emergence — that so often invoke questions of class, gender, and race under the common denominator of the popular.

Pedro G. Romero is a director and writer, known for Nueve Sevillas (2020), Fuerza nueva: Canción para los obreros de Seat (2019) and Niño de Elche + Los Voluble: La Sifilis (2016).
