‘Der letzte Mann (Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau, 1924, DE, 86', ZW, stil)’

21 Sept.'17
- 20:00

The doorman of the Grand Atlantic Hôtel is an important man who is admired by all. One day, the management of the luxurious establishment, considers him too old for the position and gives him the job of cleaning the toilets instead. Henceforth he has to put up with the mockeries of his friends, neighbours and society.
For this screening, Franco-Swiss composer Karol Beffa specially wrote a score for the Brussels Philharmonic and the organ in the Centre for Fine Arts. With its multiple registers, its intensity and versatility, the recently restored organ is perfect for the soundtrack to this film.
