Since first appearing with a debut EP in 2012, Lars Dales and Maarten Smeets – aka Detroit Swindle – have consistently scaled new heights in terms of the quality of their productions and live performances. In an over-crowded market, their unique analogue deep house sound, infused with jazz vibrations, remains instantly recognisable. On an interminable search for ever-catchier grooves, the duo’s energy is harnessed to perfection on their latest LP, High Life, released in May 2018 on Heist.
