Going from a rich orchestral sound, to the intimacy of chamber music: that is what the string section leaders of the Staatskapelle Berlin do without difficulty. Since their debut in 2017, they have been steadily building their reputation as one of the most promising string quartets of our time. For their programme, which is entirely devoted to Johannes Brahms, they are joined by their good friend, Elisabeth Leonskaja. Since her participation in the Queen Elisabeth Competition in 1968, it is still an honour to welcome her to our great hall. Together they will thrill you with the Piano Quintet and the Third Piano Quartet.
