Elizabeth Sombart, pianiste

Elizabeth Sombart, born in Strasbourg, won France’s First National Prize for Piano and Chamber Music before continuing her studies with renowned teachers: Bruno-Leonardo Gelber in Buenos Aires, Peter Feuchtwanger in London, Hilde Langer-Rühl in Vienna, and Sergiu Celibidache at the University of Mainz, where she studied musical phenomenology. She has performed in some of the world’s most prestigious concert halls, including Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall, the Concertgebouw, Suntory Hall and the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées.

Sombart founded the Résonnance Foundation and the International Centre for the Study of Résonnance Pedagogy, which offers masterclasses in piano, singing, chamber music and improvisation.All of these masterclasses are available online at elizabethsombartmasterclasses.com
