A pioneer of ambient music and producer for the likes of Bowie, U2 and Talking Heads, Brian Eno has been revolutionising sound creation for over 50 years. With Eno, Gary Hustwit has produced a documentary as innovative as its subject, combining previously unseen archives, interviews and rare compositions. Thanks to custom-designed generative software, the film is transformed with each screening: a different version each time, like a permanent remix. More than a portrait, Eno is a free and vibrant immersion into the mind of an artist in perpetual exploration.
Gary Hustwit is a director, producer and visual artist based in New York. He made his debut in 2007 with Helvetica, and has continued his exploration of the impact of design on everyday life with Objectified (2009), Urbanized (2011), Workplace (2016) and Rams (2018). Several of his films have been premiered at major festivals such as Sundance, South by Southwest and Toronto.
