‘Eric Hofbauer Quintet: The Rite of Spring’

16 Oct.'16
- 20:30

Eric Hofbauer is a leading figure on the Boston jazz scene. During ‘Stravinsky Deconstructed’, the American guitarist and his band Prehistoric Jazz will be presenting a program dedicated to jazz arrangements of Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring (Le Sacre du Printemps), Messiaen’s Quartet for the End of Time and of Charles Ives’ Three Places in New England.  Hofbauer himself created the arrangements, to provide a summary of the composers works based on key melodic and rhythmic sections, while leaving room for improvisation.
