Euphoria - Julian Rosefeldt

A journey through the history of capitalism and greed. Populated by surreal characters and animals, a dystopian New York serves as the backdrop for a hypnotizing trip deep into the complexity of human nature at its best and worst.

The Berlin-based artist and filmmaker Julian Rosefeldt (born in Munich in 1965) studied Architecture in Munich and Barcelona. He is internationally renowned for his visually opulent and meticulously choreographed moving image artworks, mostly presented as complex multi-screen installations. His works are in collections around the word like the Museum of Modern Art New York and the Nationalgalerie Berlin. The movie version of his 13-channel film installation Manifesto, featuring Cate Blanchett in 13 roles, premiered at Sundance in 2017. Euphoria was initially a 24-channel film installation in 2022, this film version premiered at the Gothenburg Film Festival in 2026.
