Concert Croissant #6

With an impressive track record of world premieres and commissions to their name, Extended Music Collective (EMC) gives new composers a well-deserved place in its programmes. This Concert Croissant is no exception, although most of the names will already ring a bell. Philip Glass is, of course, no stranger, but fortunately, we are also hearing more and more music by Nico Muhly and Anna Clyne on our concert stages. Their contemporary and Pulitzer Prize finalist Leilehua Lanzilotti wrote Translating myself and others in 2014, especially for EMC. Our featured artist Jlin is also represented with an arrangement of her string quartet Little Black Book. Finally, Stef Van Vynckt (harp), Nina Vanhoenacker (cello) and Sara Di Costanzo (flute) from EMC will present recent works by the American composer Jason Eckhardt
