‘Family Day "The Sultan's World"’

BOZAR is throwing the doors of the Palace wide open for children and parents who want to be king, or rather sultan, for a day. During the Family Day we go exploring The Sultan’s World. The Ottoman Orient in Renaissance Art. In order to reach the exhibition you have to pass through a tunnel full of sounds of the city, which transports you from Brussels to Istanbul. Once you arrive, the discovery workshops will teach you more about the valuable exchange between East and West. Don’t forget to take a look in the Horta Hall. We have used sofas, lamps and carpets to transform BOZAR into an intercultural sitting room where Belgians and Turks share their personal tale with you. You can even have a go yourself with turbans, colourful fabrics and shadow puppets, or enjoy an initiation in Turkish language and choral singing.
