Last season, this concert - then entitled Aqua Musica - was all about water. This year it’s the turn of fire. Fire symbolises heat, joy, celebration and passion, but can also be a destructive force. The pupils form connections between this element of nature and music by discovering how fire comes to life in all its forms in great symphonic works.
During this concert with the Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège, illustrator Pieter Fannes will be making drawings during the concert, and these will be projected onto the backdrop. You will receive a short film in advance to prepare you for the concert. Get ready for a blazing inferno of sounds, emotions and sizzling rhythms!
The pupils can:
- Connect music to emotions through the metaphor of nature
- Experience emotional moments as part of their class
- Encounter an orchestra in a large concert hall
