‘Foodie Love’

When a mobile dating app that finds foodie loving singletons connects two thirty-somethings, they embark on getting to know each other through the mediums of jamon, ramen and fine dining. But both are held back by insecurities and doubts fuelled by the scars of their previous relationships. They'll have to discover if their common devotion to Japanese yuzu, or shared distaste for foodie pretension, will be enough to let them taste true love.

FOODIE LOVE was filmed on location in Spain, Italy, France and Japan. It is the first Spanish drama from HBO Europe.
Laia Costa plays one half of the couple, whose unique relationship is forged between courses: she is a book editor, smart, and somewhat suspicious of relationships. Actor and director Guillermo Pfening embodies the other half of the couple, a successful mathematician, he is cultured, but at times a little naive.
FOODIE LOVE is written and directed by Isabel Coixet, and produced by Miss Wasabi films for HBO Europe. Executive Producers for HBO Europe are Miguel Salvat, Steve Matthews and Antony Root.
