Two concerts in the company of two jazz magicians! It is no exaggeration to describe Fred Hersch as a giant of jazz. He has influenced a whole generation of musicians and inspired his former students, including Brad Mehldau. A composer and also the leader of a number of groups, Hersch is above all a peerless pianist, as he will demonstrate in this recital, living up to his designation by Vanity Fair as "the most arrestingly innovative pianist in jazz over the last decade". The legendary bassist Dave Holland is another who is always in the jazz vanguard. Holland will be joined by three outstanding musicians: the guitarist Kevin Eubanks, who worked for Jay Leno's Tonight Show for fifteen years, Craig Taborn, a virtuoso of the electric piano, and the renowned drummer and composer Eric Harland.
