Raphaël Pichon - Isabelle Faust

An unprecedented collaboration: he is a renowned young conductor, countertenor, and the founder of the Pygmalion ensemble; she is one of today’s greatest violinists, and one of our artists in residence this season. Raphaël Pichon and Isabelle Faust will finally be together on the BOZAR stage. Accompanied by the famous Freiburger Barockorchester, they will perform Beethoven’s Violin Concerto, a work that Isabelle Faust knows like the back of her hand, having recorded and performed it countless times. Raphaël Pichon and the German ensemble will then tackle another pillar of the repertoire: Mozart’s Jupiter Symphony. The seasoned musicians will explore a work of great character that encompasses contrast and an almost operatic expression.
