‘Gidon Kremer - Daniil Trifonov’

Gidon Kremer is known for his musical curiosity and for the prominence in his repertoire of unfamiliar, often modern composers - as witness the presence in this programme of Moisey Weinberg, a Russian composer with Jewish and Polish roots, regarded by some as the third great Soviet composer, after Shostakovich and Prokofiev. His guest is a very promising artist, much admired by Kremer: Daniil Trifonov, who made his Brussels debut last season with Valery Gergiev.
