The Suzhou Chinese Orchestra directed by Pang Kapang
Come and celebrate the Chinese New Year with us and discover gems from the repertoire of the Middle Kingdom. Conducted by Pang Kapang, the 80 musicians of the Suzhou Chinese Orchestra will introduce you to the pleasures of 3,000 years of Chinese music. World-famous soloists such as Chiao-Hsuan Kang and Zhu Changyao interweave the melodic lines of the cello and the erhu, a two-stringed 'Chinese fiddle', with the orchestral sounds of the Suzhou Chinese Orchestra. Their mission? To share the wealth of the traditional repertoire with as many people as possible and to continue to explore, develop and rediscover the music of Suzhou and Jiangnan.
