Grouper - Marina Herlop

Classically trained pianist, composer, producer and vocalist Marina Herlop presents Dja Dja (2026), her boldest album to date. Conceived as a single interconnected piece, it explores transformation, inner struggle and self-affirmation through Herlop’s singular blend of experimental sound and emotional intensity. Following Pripyat (2022) and Nekkuja (2023) she expands her sonic universe with new textures, brass arrangements and an intricate musical architecture.

For more than twenty years, Grouper, the solo project of American musician and producer Liz Harris, has been creating music that is as fragile and intimate as it is haunting. Around ethereal vocals, she weaves layers of sound, ranging from piano and acoustic guitar with subtle noise to field recordings. Her twelfth album, Shade, was released in 2021. At Bozar, let yourself be swept away by this enigmatic musician, performing in Belgium for the first time since 2018.
