‘Humanists in the Hood | Sikivu Hutchinson, Dena Vahdani’

An evening of thought-provoking conversation in which comedienne 𝗗𝗲𝗻𝗮 𝗩𝗮𝗵𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗶 (BRUZZ, De Slimste Mens Ter Wereld) talks to writer 𝗦𝗶𝘃𝘂 𝗛𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗻 (USA) about her book 'Humanists in The Hood'.   

• Sikivu Hutchinson (PhD) received the "Harvard Humanist of the Year award" in 2020. Her book "Humanists in the Hood" approaches the religious and social hierarchies of race, gender, sexuality, class and status from a black feminist humanist perspective in relation to politics, education, women's rights and LGBTQI+ rights. 
• Dena Vahdani is an Iranian stand-up comedian born in Brussels, who tours all over Belgium with her show Warrior Princess. She draws her inspiration from LGBT-community, her parents' refugee story, and women's rights. 

Expect a critical lecture bringing insights and tools to do better.  

We will end the evening with a stand-up comedy show by Vahdani herself.
