Power and other Things. Indonesia & art (1835-now)

Secondary school, high school and academies (12>26)

This exhibition takes you and your class through Indonesia’s stormy past, from the outbreaks under Dutch and Japanese rule until today. Through the eyes of four nineteenth and twentieth century artists you see how trade, culture, religion, ideology and war were inextricably linked with one another in Indonesia and how the arts changed form along the way.
