Irene Álvarez of Seville learned to dance with such masters as El Güito, Manolo Marin, Javier Latorre, Isabel Bayón and Manuel Betanzos. Building on traditional flamenco, she has developed her own unmistakable style that alternates between an impulsive and at times modern expression, and the elegance of the Sevillian school. In this new production, Rastros, Álvarez performs with a number of international flamenco artists as she explores the origins of the old flamenco repertoire.
