Beethoven: Septet

Isabelle Faust takes advantage of her BOZAR residency to introduce you to a young group of exceptional musicians. Driven by her artistic curiosity, the violinist was keen to tackle a repertoire that is rarely performed owing to the number of instrumentalists it requires. She decided to bring together a few friends, and musicians who were recommended to her. After their first concerts in 2019, Isabelle Faust was convinced: “it’s absolutely delightful!” Along with soloists and leading members of the greatest European orchestras, the violinist will immerse herself in Brahms’s Serenade No. 1, which was rewritten for a nonet in the spirit of the since-lost original version. Next comes Beethoven’s Septet, “written with great taste and sensitivity”, according to a critic at the time.
