Iván Fischer - Isabelle Faust - Tabea Zimmermann

Put Tabea Zimmermann and Isabelle Faust together on stage and sparks are bound to fly. These world stars live and breathe music and are on exactly the same wavelength. Musical perfection goes hand in hand with a surprisingly spontaneous musical experience, as of the music were being created on stage. Since 1987 Ivan Fischer has regularly conducted the Concertgebouworkest, and this  explains why the orchestra and conductor are so perfectly in tune with one another. They combine Rossini’s typical Italian opera overtures with two less familiar masterpieces from the classical repertoire: Haydn’s 102nd Symphony and Mozart’s idiosyncratic Sinfonia Concertante for violin and viola.
