Let X=X

She is an icon of the New York avant-garde of the 1970s, invents her own instruments, and became unexpectedly world-famous thanks to her hit O SupermanLaurie Anderson went from performing in museums to becoming an experimental pop star, ultimately settling in the in-between zone of both worlds. Aside from her occasional ventures into pop music, Anderson has remained firmly rooted in the world of performance art; she blends spoken word, film, dance, electronics, and visual art into the same mix. Four years after her residency in 2022, Anderson returns to Bozar with the ambitious multimedia project Let X=X, named after one of the tracks on Big Science, her timeless 1982 debut album. Visual elements and the New York jazz quartet Sex Mob enrich this anthological live performance.
