Next Generation, Please! Festival & BOZAR Occupied

This year BOZAR LITERATURE is putting on a “poetic” project aimed at school children. Three Belgian authors lead writing workshops in schools with works by Arab poets Darwich, Laâbi and Adonis and Belgian poet Hugo Claus, before a trip to BOZAR for a concert in the Tarab series or to visit the Con Amore exhibition dedicated to Claus.

Coming into contact with texts by Darwich, Adonis, Laâbi and Claus is also about connecting with politically engaged individuals. These workshops will have their public debut on the 13th of May as part of Next Generation, Please! and on the 28th of May as part of the opening of Occupied, 50 Years of Cultural Protest. Sixteen and seventeen-year-old secondary school pupils will share their thoughts, extracts from their own work or performances.
