‘Les Midis du Théâtre 2015 - 2016’

13 Oct.'15 →
22 Mar.'16

This new season of Les Midis du Théâtre presents subjects relating to society which concern all of us. It’s the prerogative of great creators to put their finger on components which are essential to our identities. Like Thomas Gunzig, who invites us to reexamine our school years through those of our children, or Patrick Declerck, who urges us to reconsider our youth as a means of better understanding the adult within. Réhab Méhal will deal with interculturality and social representations which touch on immigration, an issue which was also broached by Fassbinder in his early work Katzelmacher.  The homage that Henri Liebman pays to his father through his political struggles is done by means of a spirited mirroring effect that we also find between Étienne Minoungou and Mohamed Ali, whose gloves he puts on in order to tackle prejudice. Don’t miss the tender way old age is dealt with in Silence, nor the immersion in the private life of Sylvia von Harden, famous journalist of the inter-war period who was immortalised by Otto Dix. A programme which is rich in intense emotions and reflections and which will also speak to you about ecology, the future and heroism as it once again demonstrates the creativity of a stage that is always full of life.
