Liraz is an Israeli artist of Iranian origin who infuses her music with her unique cultural identity. She creates a sound that is both authentic and modern. The musician is ready to captivate Bozar’s audience with tracks from her latest album, recorded in secret in Istanbul, together with her sextet from Tel Aviv and musicians from Tehran. This new album, titled Roya ('fantasy' in Farsi), is presented as a magical portal to a place of peace, joy and freedom. The singer sings about the complexity of life experiences, such as love, absence and the search for belonging, while the haunting music mixes ‘tradi-modern’ electronic rhythms and retro Persian sounds. Liraz embodies an aesthetic universe that straddles different cultures and eras, but also has a powerful voice and a magnetic stage presence.
