Los Destellos - Pilar Palomero

The film director Pilar Palomero focuses on the journey of an adult woman, Isabel, who reconnects with her ill ex-husband. By revisiting their past, she gains a new perspective on their shared failure and confronts the fragility of family ties as well as the possibilities offered by a present held in suspense.

Filmmaker and screenwriter Pilar Palomero has emerged as one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary Spanish cinema. Trained in cinematography, she directed her first short, Noć, in 2015. Her debut feature, Las Niñas (2021), was a breakthrough, winning four Goya Awards. Los Destellos (2024) is her most recent work.
