‘Meccore String Quartet’

12 Oct.'18
- 20:00

The Meccore String Quartet is one of Poland’s best contemporary quartets. Founded in 2007, this exceptional quartet has since earned a glowing international reputation. Following many years of painstaking artistic research they have developed their unique sound. The quartet provides an overview of three centuries of music, performing works by Haydn and Tchaikovsky. Works by Szymanowski will also be performed as part of this evening’s international programme. He incorporated folk themes from Polish tatras into his compositions. They are a nod to the centenary of Polish independence at the heart modern Europe.
