Journalist and moderator Pascal Claude (La Première) brings together three authors whose voices have had a profound impact on our times: Alain Damasio, Baptiste Morizot and Vinciane Despret. These three friends read each other’s writings and follow each other, and their thinking complements and enriches the others’. Together, they look at the world from an original, poetic and politically engaged perspective, offering an antidote to simplism and populism. Alain Damasio is the author of cult novels such as La Horde du Contrevent (The WindWalkers) and Les Furtifs (The Stealthies). Baptiste Morizot, a philosopher, explores our relationship with living things in essays such as Manières d'être vivant (Ways of Being Alive) and Les Diplomates (The Diplomats: Living with Wolves). Vinciane Despret, a philosopher and psychologist, examines our relationship with animals in unique works such as Habiter en oiseau (Living as a Bird) and Autobiographie d'un poulpe (Autobiography of an Octopus) (2025). This is a rare encounter discussing burning issues such as the ecological crisis and our relationship with digital technology.
