Meet the Writer: Dave Eggers

Meet Dave Eggers at a unique literary event celebrating his new novel Contrapposto, which will be published on 8 June. The internationally acclaimed author of works including The Circle, What is the What, and A Hologram for the King will speak with Bert Bultinck, editor-in-chief of Knack and a keen reader of his work for nearly thirty years. Bultinck will talk with Eggers about literature, art, and social engagement.

In Contrapposto, we follow Cricket Dib and Olympia Argyros in a lifelong, complex relationship centered on art, love, and friendship. Eggers explores, in a compelling and often humorous way, what it means to be an artist.

In addition to the conversation, there will be a special presentation of Eggers’ visual work. Visitors will have the opportunity to view his drawings in person and purchase them. The proceeds will go to the Valentino Achak Deng Foundation, named after the South Sudanese refugee who served as the model for Eggers’ legendary book What is the What.
