‘Meet the Writer: Sylvain Tesson’

25 Oct.'22
- 19:30

Sylvain Tesson is a major figure in the French literary scene. He belongs to a long tradition of travel writers who get inspired from their expeditions. Whether he explored wilderness areas or travelled continents by bike or on foot, his extraordinary experiences have been portrayed in filmic or literary reconstructions in the form of travelogues, short stories or even photographic albums. Great examples are Une vie à coucher dehors, winner of the 2009 Goncourt short story prize, The Consolations of the Forest, winner of the 2011 Médicis prize, or The Art of Patience: Seeking the Snow Leopard in Tibet, winner of the 2019 Renaudot prize. During an evening that promises to be memorable, Sylvain Tesson will have a conversation with Pascal Claude, journalist and host of Dans quel Monde on vit and Et dieu dans tout ça? (La Première, RTBF). They will share with us the vertigo of adventure that runs through the French writer's work and will plunge us into the core of his recent literary activity.
