Having grown up in Switzerland, it was only by exploring his Turkish roots that Mehmet Aslan first shot to prominence. Since his emergence a few years ago, he has become one of the poster boys for the Turkish music revival, in which traditional styles are typically blended with electronic sounds. With several Hammam House compilations to his name, as well as his own releases on Dischi Autunno, Huntleys & Palmers ‘MMT’ never fails to offer something fresh and exciting by way of his eclectic blends of disco mixes and Eastern flavours.
