CUBALANDZ, 8 PM

Abel Marcel has created a wide variety of personal music to express his interpretation of the roots of Afro-Cuban jazz. He has succeeded in creating his own style, mixing elements of the Cuban school of piano with a wide range of rhythms and traditional music characteristics. His world can be seen as an entity in which local Cuban music, improvisation and highly refined compositional structures are expertly woven together. This musical alchemy fits perfectly into the context of contemporary music, expressing life, and its dramas and passions. It is a fusion of the heart’s desires, the art of listening and a tendency to dream. His is a world in which the beat of existence is nothing more than rhythms, notes, colours and atmospheres.
